Ferrara 

Ferrara is a charming historic city in northern Italy, renowned for its well-preserved Renaissance heritage and elegant atmosphere. The Castello Estense is a striking medieval fortress in the heart of Ferrara, famous for its moats, drawbridges, and impressive red-brick towers. Castle Estense (Castello Estense) or St. Michael's Castle (Castello di San Michele) moated medieval castle, was built in 1385 by order of the Marquis Nicolo II d’Este.
